The vineyards of Saint Joseph are located on steep slopes along the Rhône Valley, with soils primarily composed of granite. These granite-rich soils are ideal for the Marsanne and Roussanne grape varieties as they retain solar warmth and provide excellent drainage. These characteristics contribute to the creation of wines with remarkable minerality and structure, which are typical of Saint Joseph.
The Saint Joseph Blanc 2021 displays a clear, golden-yellow color with light greenish reflections. The wine is medium-bodied, with a harmonious balance between freshness and fullness. The well-integrated acidity adds liveliness and ensures that the fruity aromas linger long in the mouth. An elegant, well-structured white wine that shines both on its own and as a food companion.
The vines for the Saint Joseph Blanc 2021 grow on terraced vineyards, carefully managed by Graeme and Julie Bott using sustainable practices. The vines are on average 20 to 40 years old and deeply rooted in the mineral-rich granite soils, contributing to the wine's complexity and depth. The wine is partially aged in oak barrels, adding extra volume and a fine texture.
