Gravel soils, sandy soils, robust clay soils
Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, delicate water edge. Delicately smoky-tobacco infused black cherries, hints of licorice, candied orange zest. Medium complexity, dark fruit, firm tannins, mineral and persistent, some nougat on the finish, will benefit from bottle aging (Source: Peter Moser, Falstaff Wine Guide Austria 2022/23). Blend: 60% Zweigelt, 15% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Blaufränkisch.
From gentle hills to sun-drenched slopes, the vineyards of Pöckl Winery extend in a harmonious blend of nature and viticulture. The meticulous handiwork invested in caring for these vines is crucial to the quality of the wines produced.
