The vineyards of Marsannay, particularly the Perdrix site, are characterized by limestone and clay soils, known for their excellent drainage and ability to produce mineral-driven wines. These soils provide optimal conditions for Chardonnay, preserving the acidity and freshness of the grapes while fostering deep structure and complexity. The high limestone content significantly contributes to the wine's minerality and longevity.

This Marsannay Perdrix Blanc 2022 displays a brilliant straw-yellow color with golden reflections. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with an excellent balance between freshness and richness. The well-integrated acidity adds vibrancy and highlights the clarity of the fruit flavors. The light creaminess from barrel aging complements the wine’s structure without overshadowing its freshness. An elegant, well-structured Chardonnay, it pairs beautifully with seafood, poultry, or as an aperitif.

The vines for the Marsannay Perdrix Blanc 2022 come from plots carefully tended and sustainably managed by Jérôme Galeyrand. The vines are around 25 to 35 years old and deeply rooted in the mineral-rich soils. The wine is gently vinified and aged in French oak barrels, adding finesse and complexity without overshadowing the natural aromas of the terroir.
