Chateau de Grand Pre Fleurie 2022

The vineyards of Fleurie are situated on granite-rich soils, known for their excellent drainage and ability to produce wines with pronounced minerality and freshness. These soils, combined with the elevation and cooler climate, promote the slow ripening of the Gamay grapes, resulting in wines that display both freshness and depth. The high granite content contributes to the fine structure and longevity of the wines.

The Fleurie 2022 displays a bright ruby-red color with violet reflections. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with a harmonious balance between freshness, fruit, and structure. The lively acidity and silky tannins make this wine particularly accessible while also offering impressive complexity and elegance. This Fleurie pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, such as poultry, veal, or lighter cheeses, and is equally enjoyable on its own.

The vines for the Fleurie 2022 are between 40 and 60 years old and are sustainably managed to preserve the soil's health and the quality of the grapes. Château de Grand Pré focuses on careful vine care and traditional winemaking to best preserve the typical characteristics of the terroir. The wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks to emphasize freshness and fruitiness and then aged briefly in large wooden casks to add depth and complexity.
