Grohwein, since 1948 in Rheinhessen, offers authentic, sophisticated wines ranging from uncomplicated to complex, featuring notes of wood. Nature-oriented and free from animal products, this winery produces outstanding wines. The coal-black concept line pays homage to founder Heinrich Groh, who transformed from a coal merchant in the 1930s to a renowned wine producer. The estate was among the first in the 1980s to produce barrel-aged white wines, particularly Chardonnay. Resulting in wines of sophistication suitable for any occasion.

Interesting facts about Grauburgunder:

Rheinhessen, a diverse wine region in Germany, is characterized by a varied soil structure predominantly composed of limestone, but also loess, clay, and sand. The Groh Grauburgunder was aged in stainless steel tanks on the fine lees. It exhibits a delicate bouquet with aromas of apple, pear, quince, grapefruit, honeydew melon, almonds, lemon balm, and acacia flowers.

The vineyards of Grohwein are situated in picturesque locations in Rheinhessen. Here, carefully selected grapes thrive, cultivated with dedication and respect for nature. The vineyards are meticulously tended and harvested by hand to ensure the highest quality.
